Hello there, friends and fans! 
It’s April 28, 2025– and here are some things that happened in the meantime!
This Is The Current State Of Things:
- General News:Unfortunately I got sick again a few weeks ago – flu again, and this time it had nothing to do with me flapping my arms! Anyway, I still managed to continue working on my research proposal, which entailed locating and skimming through dozens of papers and books on the same subject for background research before jumping into the final draft! I finished it last week, and am now waiting for feedback.
In the meantime, a few other things have happened here in South Africa – long-time transphobic local politician, DA leader figure, Helen Zille, has made the news again for making a new set of TERF remarks. The irony that she has done so for the second time, just around Freedom Day in South Africa, isn’t lost on me. If this patttern persists, with each episode being more hateful than the last, watch out for her next set in 2027! Meanwhile, I wrote two responses to her hateful 18-point diatribe, and you can read them here for yourself if you’re interested: 1, 2.
- Current Writing Projects: With my time now occupied with assignments from varsity, I’ll likely have no time available for writing fiction for the immediate future! In the meantime, if you like, you can catch up on books you may have missed, or keep up by bookmarking What’s Brewing?
